Speaking on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire Paul Stainton’s Breakfast Show, Daniel Zeichner has called for more Government action to help those losing their jobs at Marshall Aerospace in Cambridge.

Commenting on the news that upto 200 redundancies may have to be made at Marshall Aerospace in Cambridge, Cambridge Labour Parliamentary Candidate Daniel Zeichner says: “This is a sad day and a serious blow at one of Cambridge’s major employers. The company will not have made this decision lightly – in the past when they have experienced periods when major work was hard to come by, they have been able to take the hit and keepĀ  their skilled staff in place for better times ahead. In recent weeks there has been a sense of complacency creeping into the coalition Government’s statements on the economy – there may be a recovery for some at the top, but for the vast majority of people it still feels very tough, and this is a rotten run-in to Christmas for people at Marshall.”
