Pupils and teachers have a spring in their step following the announcement that North Cambridge Academy is to receive £78,000 of National Lottery Sport England funding.

Daniel Zeichner MP visited the site to hear more about the exciting plans from Principal Martin Campbell and sporty students.

North Cambridge Academy will use the money to help transform the disused brickworks into a vibrant Gymnastics Academy.

When complete the facility will be open to students and the local community.

Daniel Zeichner MP said: “This is great news -; I’m jumping for joy! This investment by Sport England is a real boost for North Cambridge Academy and for people in Cambridge. With great new facilities I’m sure Cambridge youngsters will get more active and reach new heights.”
