Bimby comes to Cambridge

The Prince's Foundation first national 'road show' about Beauty-In-My-Back-Yard (BIMBY) began in Cambridge.

BIMBY is all about local people having a key role in shaping new developments in their area.

The ‘BIMBY’ online toolkit supports communities to influence the quality of new developments. It promotes well designed buildings that are well received by communities and empowers people to take part in the planning process in a positive way.

Ahead of the launch of BIMBY in Cambridge Daniel Zeichner MP said: "Cambridge is a unique, beautiful and historic city. It is also growing. I welcome any initiative that involves local people more in planning the future of our city. They are the best placed to ensure Cambridge retains its special individual character while meeting the challenges of growth and the needs for improved transport and more housing."
