Cambridge digital Eagles soaring high

Daniel Zeichner MP has visited Barclay’s “Eagle Lab” in Cherry Hinton today. The lab is kitted out with event space and all the latest equipment including a laser cutter, vinyl cutter and a 3D printer.

Mr Zeichner has seen the 3D printer in action and met Laura Flack, Head of Eagle Labs, to hear about the workshops the company provide to customers and non-customers in local businesses and the wider community.

Barclays research has found that almost half (47%) of UK respondents have never taken steps to improve their digital skills.

Daniel Zeichner MP said: “I welcome this boost to Cambridge’s digital skills. Cambridge is a world leading digital centre and it is great to see how local companies are benefitting from using cutting edge technology and that local people are getting a great chance to enhance their digital skills.”
