Cambridge’s re-elected MP Daniel Zeichner joined the City Council’s pest control team on Friday morning. Following a brief meeting with Cllr Rosy Moore, Executive Councillor for Environmental Services and City Centre, the officers in charge and the team, Mr Zeichner hopped on board the pest control van at the Mill Road Depot.

Daniel Zeichner MP said: “This is an incredibly useful service and I am pleased to have been able to see it in action with my own eyes.

“When Labour took over control of the Council, the previous administration had planned to scrap the service but instead it was saved and expanded, and it was kept free at the point of need.

“I’m very grateful to the City Council and the pest control team for the work they do and I wanted to thank them personally on behalf of Cambridge residents who have used this service in the past and will be able to rely on it should they need it in the future.”
