As queues and car park chaos continues at Cambridge Station Daniel Zeichner MP said:

“Everyone understands that during a major construction project there will be inconvenience -; but the problems we have seen in recent weeks have been unacceptable. I met Greater Anglia representatives last week and told them about the problems that people have reported to me and what I have seen myself, and made it clear that this is unacceptable. The car-parking and cycle-parking situation has been poor for months, with no clear system for people to be dropped off or for short-term parking. 

Despite staff doing their best, there have been long waits for tickets. Cambridge is an extremely busy station and this is a very busy time of year -; none of this should have come as a surprise to those planning the works. They now need to put in extra resources to make sure the problems are resolved as quickly as possible.”
