Cambridge United: Supporting them on and off the pitch

Cambridge United have had a great season so far, but face crunch games in the next few days in their quest for promotion. Off the pitch their Director of Football Jez George is embarking on a marathon walk - an incredible 676 miles, 26 marathons in 26 days - visiting every premiership ground to raise awareness of the issues facing youth sport, and fundraising for Cambridge United’s Youth Trust.

Cambridge Labour Parliamentary Candidate Daniel Zeichner is backing his campaign, and is contacting Labour MPs in all the areas urging them to get involved: “Jez and Cambridge United’s Youth Trust are showing how the local football club can be a powerful force in tackling deprivation and disadvantage, which is why I strongly support Jez’s marathon effort.“
