Cambridge MP, Daniel Zeichner, met budding entrepreneurs and new businesses at the ‘Eagle Lab Incubator’ on Chesterton Road today.

The lab founded by Barclays, and located above a local bank branch, is the home of a range of new and innovative high-growth companies run by young entrepreneurs. After a year of being open the incubator is now full, with a community of ground-breaking local businesses covering a variety of sectors. The Eagle Lab offers funding opportunities, facilities and 24 hour access to support services to help companies grow, create local jobs and network with other pioneering businesses.

Jon Corbett, Head of SME Cambridge at Barclays, said: “We are really proud of the Eagle Lab Incubator, it has been a great success and is now a flagship lab for the rest of the UK -; for us Cambridge was an ideal location and we’re happy it is doing so well”.

Daniel Zeichner MP said: “The model used by the Eagle Lab offers an alternative way of starting and growing a businesses. The array of companies, and these entrepreneurs, are helping to forge a greater future for our city. The model -; one built on close networking, making the most of space in our compact city and turning cutting-edge ideas into employment opportunities -; should be applauded”.
