Local MP Daniel Zeichner put pedal power into action as he helped deliver packages and parcels around Cambridge.

Mr Zeichner took his turn on a bike as he visited Outspoken Delivery, whose red delivery bikes and trikes are a familiar sight on Cambridge’s roads.

The company use specialist cargobikes and electric vehicles to create a fast, efficient and low carbon delivery service. The trikes can carry 250kg and bikes 100kg.

Gary Armstrong, from the company, explained how last year they cycled over 100,000 miles saving 45 tonnes of CO2.

Daniel Zeichner MP said: “Who needs a reindeer and sleigh when you can use bikes and trikes to deliver festive packages across Cambridge! This is a busy time of year and it is good to see parcels being delivered by bike and so helping to cut congestion and pollution.”
