Plans are being drawn up that could see radical cuts to NHS services.

According to the available documents, by 2021, the NHS in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough is projected to be £250m short of the funds it needs to balance its books while maintaining the same level of care for patients.

Daniel Zeichner MP said: “Hardworking staff at Addenbrooke’s and in doctors surgeries are doing their best but the truth is there is a black hole in NHS funding.

Medical services are being given unrealistic financial targets to meet in little known Sustainability and Transformation Plans and services will suffer.

It’s time for the Government to stop giving the NHS bitter pills to swallow and properly fund our precious service.

The people of Cambridge also deserve an apology from Vote Leave campaigners about their outrageous £350m NHS claim.”
