Shadow Minister Hilary Benn visited Cambridge to highlight Labour’s housing plans today.

Mr Benn and Daniel Zeichner met Cambridge people living in private rented accommodation and outline Labour’s plans for the biggest house building programme for a generation and the party’s plan for secure three-year tenancies for those who want them and rent caps so they cannot rise by more than the rate of inflation during this period.

Cambridge Parliamentary Candidate, Daniel Zeichner said:

“Rents in Cambridge are sky-high and many people who want to buy feel priced out of the property market.

“”A Labour Government will tackle the housing crisis and back Cambridge people aspiring to buy their own home.”
