Could do better – that’s the verdict after the Lib Dem Education spokesperson got stuck on some rather basic questions today in a BBC Radio Cambridgeshire interview.

“I think she might need to do some revision”, said Labour’s candidate Daniel Zeichner today after hearing the interview.

When tackled about tuition fees, Tim Farron’s Lib Dem Education spokesperson Sarah Olney said it was a “rather tricky” question because it had nothing to do with her.

Cambridge students may have a very different view.

Then on grammar schools she said that the divisive Tory plans are “not a priority […] at this time.”

“Of course it is a priority to stop these Tory plans. It’s a question of values”, added Daniel Zeichner. “I know where I stand, but once again the Lib Dems are in a muddle.”
