Three top Labour politicians will be in Cambridge this Saturday to meet local people and discuss Labour’s plans for the next Government. ‘Your Britain’ was launched by Labour at the start of the year, and is a detailed conversation about issues affecting people’s day-to-day lives.

Shadow Housing Minister Jack Dromey will be talking about how to help young people priced out of the housing market, and Labour’s plan to protect tenants in cities like Cambridge facing high rents and unexpected charges from lettings agencies. Shadow Food and Farming Minister Huw Irranca-Davies will discuss how we can ensure that our food is safe, and how workers in rural areas can be properly protected. Shadow Treasury Minister Catherine McKinnell will talk about how tax evasion by big companies should be tackled and look at ways of dealing with bogus self-employment, a rising form of tax evasion. The event is being organised by Labour’s Parliamentary candidate for Cambridge, Daniel Zeichner:

“As the 2015 election draws closer, peopleĀ  who are fed up with the current Government want to know how an incoming Labour Government will be different. I am inviting people in and around Cambridge to join us on Saturday to tell us what they want and listen to and challenge ideas being developed by leading figures in Parliament.”
