Daniel Zeichner, MP for Cambridge, will tomorrow visit Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group to hear about its Apprenticeship Training School.  During the visit Mr Zeichner will join staff and apprentices for a tour of the site and to discuss the benefits that this training programme is providing to local people.

Mr Zeichner is a long-standing supporter of Marshall as a key local Cambridge company specialising in aerospace and defence. It has been delivering engineering training programmes and apprenticeships for more than 90 years. Every year, the company offers apprenticeship places covering a variety of engineering categories, which are delivered out of its Cambridge site.

Mr Zeichner says: “Marshall has a proud record of delivering apprenticeships, and I have been pleased to support their schemes over a number of years. Apprenticeships are a great opportunity for people that want to learn specialist skills and gain on-the-job experience at the same time. Marshall is a Cambridge institution and I am delighted to once again support their commitment to provide training to people in the local community.

“I am very pleased to have been invited to see first-hand how the training school operates and I encourage people living near-by to take a look at the programmes they have on offer, because it could be a way for you to earn while you learn your way to a new career.”
