Daniel Zeichner MP Standing up for Cambridge
Daniel Zeichner, MP for Cambridge, will be visiting local Italian establishment, Signorelli’s Deli, tomorrow (Friday 28 September) to congratulate the owner, Alex Signorelli, and staff for being nominated for ‘England’s Best Newcomer’ and ‘Best Pizza’ in the upcoming Italian Awards.
Daniel Zeichner said: “The nomination of Signorelli’s Deli in the 2018 England’s Italian Awards reflects the hard work put into making this place a success by Alex and his team. I visited the Deli last year shortly after it opened and could see then that it was going to be a great addition to the city’s vibrant and versatile food scene. Congratulations to everyone at Signorelli’s for the nominations and good luck on the night!”
Alex Signorelli, owner of Signorelli’s Deli, said: “We all at Signorelli’s are so pleased for this acknowledgement especially having sacrificed so much to start this journey. It’s just overwhelming that not only the local community has welcomed Signorelli’s deli with open arms but also been acknowledge further afield.”
Signorelli’s Deli opened in March 2017 on Burleigh Street, Cambridge and has received a large number of positive reviews from customers since then. The deli offers breakfast, lunch, drinks and coffee opening from 8:00am during the week. Mr Zeichner previously visited Signorelli’s Deli shortly after it opened in 2017, during which he spoke to the owner Alex Signorelli about his experiences in the first six months of business.
The Gala Final of the 2018 England’s Italian Awards will be held on Sunday 7th October at the Principal Hotel in Manchester.
