Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day returned this Friday 11 December as Cambridge people wear their favourite festive jumpers and raise vital funds for charity.

Cambridge MP Daniel Zeichner wore his snowman Christmas jumper but whether you chose a penguin pullover, Santa sweater, jingle bells jersey or North Pole knit, it is all in a great cause.

This year Save the Children have helped some of those who have been worst affected by the coronavirus pandemic both in the UK and abroad.

From giving food vouchers to families who have had their income reduced or stopped altogether to helping spread awareness of covid-19 in refugee camps, Save the Children’s work is vital.

Daniel Zeichner MP said: “I ho-ho-hope everyone has a great time wearing their winter woolies. This is a fantastic cause that does so much good, raising money and awareness for children here in the UK and around the world. It is great to be part of creating a brighter future for children.”
