Surgeries
Daniel holds regular surgeries where Cambridge constituents can discuss issues with him that they need help with. These sessions are currently held online and by appointment only.

What is Casework?
Casework refers to requests for assistance that constituents bring to Daniel. This can range from urgent matters like imminent homelessness to ongoing issues with welfare payments. Daniel’s team of caseworkers is dedicated to handling each case fairly and compassionately. Depending on the urgency, they aim to respond promptly and may request further details or schedule a meeting with Daniel at one of his constituency surgeries.
Prioritisation of Casework
Casework is prioritised based on urgency:
- Urgent Casework: Time-critical issues such as imminent homelessness.
- Standard Casework: Important issues that may require up to 10 working days to address.
- Policy Casework: Involving national or local policy enquiries that may require extensive research.

Issues Daniel Can Assist With
Daniel can assist with matters falling under the jurisdiction of various government departments including:
- Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)

- Foreign, Commonwealth, & Development Office
- Department of Health & Social Care
- Department for Education
For issues not under central government responsibility, such as those involving the city or county councils, or the combined authority, please contact your local councillor in the first instance.
Exclusions
Daniel cannot provide:
- Legal advice or interference with legal proceedings
- Consumer or contract advice
- Debt advice or financial services guidance
- Mediation in personal disputes

Campaigns, Policy, and Lobbying
Daniel welcomes hearing from constituents about campaigns, policy issues, and lobbying efforts. He considers requests to support campaigns or to participate in events, whether in the constituency or in Westminster.
Freedom of Information and Data Protection
As a Member of Parliament, Daniel is not covered by the Freedom of Information Act. However, under the Data Protection Act, constituents have the right to access information held by his office without charge.
