The interim chief executive of the East of England Ambulance Service (EEAS), has stepped down.

Last month more than 600 people signed a petition urging Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt to keep Dr Marsh in post. It said the loss of Dr Marsh would “clearly impact morale”.

Daniel Zeichner MP said: “I’m disappointed that Dr Anthony Marsh has stepped down as I know from conversations with front line staff he clearly had their confidence. What the Trust needs is stability, not yet more turnover. However I will be keen to work with his successor to make sure that Cambridge residents get the service we need.”
