Daniel Zeichner, MP for Cambridge, has today welcomed the announcement by London Stansted Airport that planes will start flying from the airport to Dubai in June 2018.

Emirates has announced that it will launch its daily route to Dubai from Stansted, allowing better, faster and easier connections access from Cambridge’s thriving hubs of tech and life sciences to the east of the globe. The 777 service will also enable business and leisure passengers in Cambridge to connect through Dubai to 154 destinations across the globe.

Daniel comments, “Stansted Airport is a fantastic resource for Cambridge, and is much easier to access from the East of England than other London airports, so the announcement of daily flights to Dubai is great news for those who live and work in Cambridge. Cambridge is already an international knowledge centre, but this development will provide all those who work internationally with a global gateway on their doorstep.”

Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft will make the journey daily, from Cambridge to Dubai, one of the world’s major hubs. From Dubai there are many daily connections to Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, Mumbai, Australia and many other key global powers and markets.
