Daniel Zeichner, MP for Cambridge, will attend today‘s (17^th February 2018) ‘Arbury Swap, Collect and Fix-Fest’ at 13:30 in a bid to support the battle against waste, which will be a key fight in winning the war on climate change. The event being overseen by Cambridge Carbon Footprint and hosted by the Arbury Community Centre (Campkin Road, Cambridge CB4 2LD) will see local residents come by and help their household items live another day.

Events will start from 11am in the morning, with Mr Zeichner attending the First Arbury Repair Café at 13:30. He will bring with him an item to be fixed by one of the 18 repairers on hand to fix electrical, household items, bikes, clothes and books.

Daniel said: “I am delighted to be supporting this event and would like to congratulate the partners involved in working to make this all come together. Tackling the amount of unnecessary waste we throw away will be pivotal in the war against climate change and events like this is just what we need in order to promote the right attitude to address this.”
