Daniel Zeichner, MP for Cambridge, will this Saturday (16th March 2019) attend the Cambridge Repair Café at Kettle’s Yard from 12:30pm, to lend his support in promoting sustainable living and to encourage sharing, reusing and the repair of household items.

The event is a collaboration between Cambridge Repair Café and Kettle’s Yard, with people having their broken items matched with people that can fix them for free, including broken electrical items such as kitchen appliances, printers and laptops.

Mr Zeichner will be bringing a broken lamp to be fixed by one of the repairers at hand. Last year, Mr Zeichner had his IPad fixed, which is still going strong one year on.

Daniel Zeichner MP says: “I am delighted to be supporting this event, again which has been popularly received in other areas of the city including Arbury and East Chesterton. These innovative approaches to tackling unnecessary waste is exactly what is needed in the fight against climate change, and its popularity shows that Cambridge residents care about the environment and want to do their bit to help.”
