Ahead of the public meeting about moving the Cambridge Police Station outside of the city, to be held in Milton this evening (10 June), Cambridge MP Daniel Zeichner said:

“Holding a public meeting about the future of Cambridge’s police station, outside of the city, does not inspire confidence. It is a poor decision.

“Of course, Parkside is outdated and it needs re-development but I am equally certain that a vibrant city Cambridge needs a proper facility in our city, not just a public information point.

“I will be urging everyone involved to ensure that a public facing base, staffed by fully qualified officers, is retained at Parkside. That’s what Cambridge residents expect.”
