Commenting on the Queen’s Speech on Monday 14th October, Daniel Zeichner MP said:

“The Queen is being used for cheap political propaganda, made to sit and read out an un-costed Tory election campaign wish list.

“Boris Johnson is right there’s a problem with crime but doesn’t grasp why. It’s austerity: the cuts to youth services, mental health, the probation service and the police.

“I’m also deeply worried by his “voter suppression” bill making everyone take a form of ID to the polling station – that will put people off from voting.”
