Following the death of former Councillor Caroline Hart, Daniel Zeichner MP said:

“Caroline was a passionate local councillor who was always embedded at the heart of the community she represented. She was proud to be a councillor in the Abbey ward, a role she carried out with distinction for 17 years. She was closely involved with the “Save the Scout Hut” campaign at Stanesfield Road, leading to a new facility serving the local community – one example of the many campaigns and causes she was involved in. She was also passionate about local history especially the Leper Chapel which we chatted about when I saw her at Addenbrooke’s recently. Everyone knew how to get in touch with her. Family was very important to Caroline, and our thoughts are with husband Bruce and their son Robert at this time.”
