Nineteen residents have died at a care home in Cambridge since the start of the month.

Woodlands Care Centre, managed by Ranc Care, is a 100 resident complex on Hawkins Road.

Cambridge MP Daniel Zeichner said:

“This is tragic news and my heart goes out to the families who have lost loved ones to this horrible virus. I pay tribute to the staff who are working in this care home and all care homes. We do need to understand how the virus spread, what measures were used to try and keep people safe in terms of isolation and PPE and if we can learn any lessons.”
