This International Workers’ Memorial Day, (Tuesday 28 April) the country will remember all those who have died because of their work – and renew our pledge to fight for the living.

In the year of coronavirus, this day of commemoration has never been more important. Daniel Zeichner MP will join thousands of people across the city at 11am to observe a minute’s silence, to remember all the health, care and other key workers who have already lost their lives to coronavirus.

Daniel Zeichner MP said: “I will stand to remember the lives of heroes who put themselves in harm’s way to keep us all safe and vital services running. It is a tragedy that some NHS, care and transport workers have already died and we must learn lessons and keep fighting for better protective equipment.”
