Cambridge MP Daniel Zeichner visited a pop-up shop opened by two Cambridge graduates at the Grand Arcade..

Beaudurof, which sells handbags, is the brainchild of Jacqui Gilbert and Frances Brandon who met at Newnham College.

In just five years, the start-up has been featured in Vogue and placed on their global “it-bag index” and named in the European product design awards.

The shop has been set up as a gallery to take shoppers through the local company’s story.

Mr Zeichner who assisted New Zealand born Ms Gilbert in obtaining a Graduate Entrepreneurs Visa after difficulties with the Home Office said: “I’m delighted to visit Beaudurof and see first hand a high street success story. This is a phenomenally difficult time for businesses at the moment so hearing about this gave me some Christmas cheer.”
