Cambridge MP Daniel Zeichner co-hosted a virtual funding workshop with People’s Postcode Lottery for charities, volunteer organisations and community groups across the city. The session provided advice on the process of applying for funds to enable such organisations to continue their vital work.

Daniel Zeichner MP said: “the number of good causes in Cambridge are plentiful and at a time when so many are facing pandemic-induced fundraising challenges, workshops like these helping provide a much-needed injection of cash support are all the more important. I am confident today’s session will enable a number of them to continue doing great work during the pandemic and beyond”.

Head of Public Affairs at the People’s Postcode Lottery, Malcolm Fleming, added: “we very much appreciate Daniel Zeichner MP co-hosting our local charity funding workshop for Cambridge.  We find that having the local MP involved always helps us get the word out to local charities.  It was great to have lots of local Cambridge charities and community groups attend the virtual event and engage with our team about the funding available. We look forward to lots of high-quality funding applications from those organisations attending!”.
