“The advice from Government has been muddled and confused, and as I learned when I visited the vaccine centre in the Grafton Centre on Friday, there is plenty of vaccine, but too few people to administer it in the numbers now required. That is a problem that could have been resolved, but the Government didn’t plan ahead, nor did they start early enough. Now they are putting businesses at risk without offering the necessary financial support. It is vital that we protect the NHS from being over-run because lives are at risk, but the Government needs to get its act together and come forward with a support package for businesses who are being hit directly as a consequence of actions by the Government.”
