Daniel Zeichner MP said: “Fully a week after Cambridge restaurants started seeing bookings collapse and many other city businesses in free fall during the busiest period, the Chancellor has finally woken up. I’ve been contacted by people desperate to know how they are supposed to cope when the Government’s muddled messages mean that customers act with their feet and stay home. Some action is welcome, but we will be studying the package closely to see if it will be sufficient to keep Cambridge businesses afloat through this extremely unpredictable and difficult time.”
