Cambridge MP visits UTC and praises their turnaround

Cambridge’s re-elected MP Daniel Zeichner has visited the University Technical College to congratulate the new Principal and her team on their impressive turnaround over the last year.

Ofsted inspectors recently visited UTC and praised the college for delivering a good standard of education in every category. They highlighted the passionate and effective leadership provided by Parkside Federation Academies since they took over last October.

Daniel Zeichner MP said: “I am delighted to visit UTC to congratulate the new Headteacher for the excellent work that has been put in over the last few months.

“There have been significant improvements in many areas and I wanted to take this opportunity to say ‘Well done!’ to everyone involved.”

Sian Foreman the new Headteacher commented: “I am delighted that the Ofsted report recognised the quality of our staff and their hard work as well as the “wonderful opportunities” that are open to our students here at UTC.

“It is great to welcome Daniel Zeichner MP and we look forward to working with him to build on this incredible improvement.”
