Cambridge MP Julian Huppert is seeking credit for voting against his Government’s Secret Courts Bill -; yet back in May last year (see Cambridge News below) he was claiming that “all of the Liberal Democrat conditions have been agreed. I am delighted with this outcome, it is a victory for the Lib Dems” .

So was he right then -; or is he right now? Both can’t be true. But just as he voted for and against NHS privatisation, (and abstained) so the same with this. The whips rotor in action -; allowing select Lib Dems to rebel in turn to try and court local favour -; we’ve spotted it!
