Three Advanced Apprentices who have successfully completed their Level 3 apprenticeships at Carl Zeiss Microscopy Ltd, a global manufacturer of scanning electron microscopes, were presented with certificates by Daniel Zeichner MP today.

Having completed their training Jack Bysouth, Liam Johnson and Sean White now have roles in the Production department: Jack as a Sigma Final Test Engineer, Liam as a Mechanical Technician -; Stage and Sean as a Plinth Build Technician.

The apprenticeship is a four-year scheme consisting of day-release at college or university and a programme of placements within the company giving each apprentice a unique level of experience across all departments.

Daniel Zeichner MP said: “Congratulations to Jack, Liam and Sean. In an innovation city like Cambridge high quality apprenticeships across the Sciences are vital to allow the next generation of school leavers to earn while they learn. I am keen to work closely with young people and businesses to create a clear vocational route through education.”
