Daniel Zeichner MP joined students and staff at Rowan’s Annual Christmas bash. Rowan is a charity for people with learning disabilities where students work alongside skilled artists and craftspeople.

MP Daniel Zeichner joined the students as they sit down to a Christmas meal with all the trimmings followed by festive party games.

The students will tell Mr Zeichner about the highlights of their year from putting on an exhibition called Art makes you Powerful” at the Festival of Ideas to their fundraising challenges which included including students walking 80 miles!

In 2016 the charity plan to create Cambridge’s first space for music for learning-disabled people by converting existing office spaces at the front of their Humberstone Road premises into a new music and drama room.

Daniel Zeichner MP said: “It’s fantastic to join in Rowan’s festive fun. Congratulations to students on staff on their achievements this year and I look forward to returning to see the redeveloped building in the new year.”
