I know this is a worrying time for everyone and we do not yet know what the medical, social and economic consequences of the coronavirus outbreak may be.

It is important that we follow the medical advice from the Government on hand washing, self-isolation and when to use NHS 111.

I have put a list of useful contacts on my website which I am updating regularly but always check the Government website for the latest updates.

As your MP I am in regular contact with the NHS, police, Councils, businesses and charities. I am also scrutinising the Government, asking them questions and pushing them to do more.

My priorities are:

• Scrutinising the Government’s response and ensuring that the science-led approach is fully transparent.
• Supporting our NHS and the amazing work of staff who are being put under enormous pressure.
• Protecting the most vulnerable, with action to help the homeless, those on zero hours contracts, the elderly and everyone self-isolating.
• Ensuring that racism and scape-goating is tackled.

This has changed the way we all live and work. Solidarity matters at times like this, so don’t forget to pick up the phone and speak to friends and family who may be lonely or worried.

Please do let me know if there are issues you would like me to raise in Parliament or with ministers either publicly or privately.

In the meantime, let’s show our support for our amazing NHS. Please print and display this poster in your window.

Keep safe and well.
