Daniel Zeichner MP Standing up for Cambridge
There was an unexpected person in the bagging area at Sainsburys as Cambridge MP Daniel Zeichner took a turn at being a Sainsburys checkout assistant.
Mr Zeichner is keen to see all parts of Cambridge, not just the parts on the traditional tourist trail.
He talked to Chris Dix, the store manager and supermarket staff about their work, how they can gain specialist skills and the everyday challenges of keeping the shelves stacked and the store welcoming.
Daniel Zeichner MP said: “I’m sure joining Sainsbury’s staff on the other side of the counter will be a fascinating experience and I hope I don’t slow down too many Cambridge shoppers today! I’ll be hearing about how Sainsbury’s is investing in skills which is key to providing a quality product and service.”
